  1. October 28th, 2022 – The OR attended the 6th Meeting of the European Union-Sri Lanka Working Group on Governance, Rule of Law and Human Rights
  2. October 19th, 2022 – The OR attended an Inter-ministerial Meeting on Sri Lanka’s National Report - 4th Cycle of Universal Periodic Review (2023)
  3. September 26th, 2022 – The OR attended a Cancer Awareness Session organized by the Ministry of Health
  4. September 19th, 2022 – The OR attended a Workshop on Women and Reparations, organized by the Centre for Equality and Justice.
  5. September 12th, 2022 –  The OR had a Meeting with Disability Organizations Joint Front to discuss ways to include persons with disabilities (from DOJF’s target groups) into the OR’s programmes, and to discuss future collaboration. 
  6. September 8th, 2022 – The OR attended a Discussion between ONUR, OMP and OR in Collaboration with Global Communities (SCORE-USAID) to Develop a Plan of Action for 2023 and opportunities for collaboration with SCORE-USAID.
  7. August 28th - 30th – A Livelihood Programme for the Muslim Women Development Foundation was conducted in Puttalam.

  8. August 20th, 2022 – A Technology Transfer Programme for Female-Headed Families was organized in Kopai.

  9. July 4th - 9th, 2022 – 2nd batch of Psychosocial Support Residential Training – The Training of New Case Managers in the Tamil Medium was held in Colombo.

  10. June 29th, 2022 – The OR had a Meeting with SCORE (USAID) to discuss the OR's Programmes.

  11. June 17th, 2022 – The OR collaborated with the IOM to organize a Discussion Forum with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in order to create awareness on the OR's programmes and activities, to gain a better understanding of the programmes, activities and needs of the CSOs and to discuss opportunities for future collaboration with CSOs.
  12. June 6th - 11th, 2022 – 2nd batch of Psychosocial Support Residential Training – The Training of New Case Managers in the Tamil Medium was held in Colombo.

  13. June 2nd, 2022 – Awareness Session for National Integration Officers (NIO) – The OR participated in an awareness session organized by the ONUR in collaboration with SCORE for NIO of Matale, Kurunegala and Anuradapura districts.

  14. February 25th, 2022 – Planning Day – The OR had its Planning Day to develop a detailed Plan of Action in line with the Reparations Policies and Guidelines with the participation of all OR staff.

  15. February 11th, 2022 – Discussion with Government Organizations in Implementing Policy Interventions – The OR had a discussion on promoting peace and unity at the school level with the Ministry of Education.

  16. January 26th - 30th, 2022 – “Access to Justice” Mobile Service – The OR took part in the Access to Justice Mobile Service organized by the Ministry of Justice in the Northern Province. The following activities were performed by the OR at the mobile service:
    - Awareness creation session for public officers on the mandate and functions of the OR.
    - Completion of shortcoming documents in relation to payment of compensation for aggrieved persons.

  17. The OR had the following follow-up discussions with civil society partners:
    - December 21st, 2021 – with the Disability Action Committee of the Batticaloa district, representing office bearers from 14 divisional secretariats of the district.
    - November 25th, 2021 – with 25 members of the Muslim Women’s Development Trust (MWDT-displaced community of Puttalam District).
    - Bilateral Discussion with the Sri Lanka Civil Society Collective to identify mutually beneficial interventions with the participation of 4 key CSOs.
    - Discussion with the Butterfly Peace Garden to develop a concept to promote peace and unity through students.

  18. January 24th, 2022 – The OR attended an Awareness Session on Understanding the Needs of Aggrieved Persons conducted by the Commissioner General of the Bureau of Rehabilitation.

  19. December 10th, 2021 – The OR conducted a Psychosocial Session on Stress and Coping.

  20. November 10th, 2021 – The OR conducted an Awareness session on Policy and Guidelines.

  21. OR Staff Trainings:
    - July 12th, 2022 – The OR co-ordinated and attended a Training on Gender Sensitivity, Sexual and Gender Based Violence and Harassment in the Home and Work Setting for Men, Women and Children conducted by Women In Need to sensitize the OR staff to gender issues.
    - October 10th, 2021 – The OR  attended a Psychosocial Support Session to mark World Mental Health Day, with the purpose of understanding the mentalities of victims and the role of the OR staff in granting relief.- February 24th, 2021 – Session on Gender and Reparations conducted by Center for Equality and Justice.
    Awareness Session on Domestic Violence for the OR staff conducted by Women in Need in 2021.
    - August 27th, 2020 – The OR attended a Training on Psychological First Aid.

  22. December 22nd, 2021 – Commencement of Visits by the Case Managers trained by the OR to undertake the Pilot Psychosocial Survey - 26 trained Case Managers are currently in the field handling 136 families selected from five Districts (Kilinochchi, Batticaloa, Ampara, Kurunegala, Matara).

  23. December 3rd & 4th, 2021 – The OR organized its first Livelihood Support Programme: “Knowledge and Technology Transfer Programme (Train 2 Pro)”. The target group was 102 female-heads of households of Valikamam North Divisional Secretariat. The programme included sessions on awareness on new technology-based startups; technology demonstrations that can be easily adoptable for startups; and motivation session to inspire the women to move beyond traditional pursuits.

  24. November 11th, 2021 – The OR made a presentation at District Secretaries’ Conference attended by 25 District Secretaries to brief the senior-most Public Officers in the Districts on the Policy and Guidelines of the OR and to seek their support to identify issues and concerns of the aggrieved persons at district and divisional level and to discuss meaningful interventions.

  25. October 29th, 2021 – The OR attended a Meeting with the Hon. Governor and the District Secretaries of the Northern Province - The main objective of the meeting to brief the senior most Public officers on the Policy and Guidelines of the OR and to seek their support to identify issues and concerns of the aggrieved persons at district and divisional level and to discuss meaningful interventions.

  26. October 15th, 2021 – The OR engaged in a Dialogue with the Civil Society Organizations (CSO). Over 30 CSOs participated. The main objective of the dialogue was to brief the CSOs on the Policy and Guidelines of the OR and to discuss collaborative initiatives to support aggrieved persons.

  27. October 8th, 2021 – The OR attended a Development Partners Forum, where Development Partners were briefed on the role of OR. The Forum was attended by more than 40 Development Partners and was facilitated by the Chief of Mission of the IOM.

  28. April 5th, 2021 - January 28th, 2022 – The OR facilitated the Training of Case Managers engaged in the Pilot Psychosocial Support Programme:
